Making Waves Quilt (Reverse)
The Making Waves Quilt reverse is the quieter counterpoint to the bold wave face—an open composition of concentric circles hand-block printed in deep navy and warm terracotta on natural cotton. Two large spiraling forms anchor the upper left, while a cascade of smaller circles trails diagonally across the surface, creating a sense of movement that feels both deliberate and organic.
Like the wave side, every ring was pressed individually by hand using carved wooden blocks in Jaipur—each circle built outward one impression at a time. Where the wave side commands attention, this side rewards it: the closer you look, the more you see the texture of the ink, the slight variations in registration, the evidence of the hands behind it.
After printing, the cotton shells are brought to the homes of skilled quiltmakers, who carefully stuff the quilts with cotton and stitch them entirely by hand using traditional techniques to create the finished piece.
Our quilts are produced in small batches. Because each one is handmade, slight variations in color and print may occur—making every Making Waves Quilt a truly unique piece.

Made by Hand. Marked by It, Too.
Each quilt begins with wooden blocks carved by hand in Jaipur, India, and pressed onto cotton, one color at a time, using traditional dyes and centuries-old techniques.
The slight irregularities you'll notice aren't imperfections — they're proof that a pair of hands made that exact piece. Slow, deliberate craft, passed down through generations.
