Each throw is handmade, requiring attention from 4 different types of artisans, including wood carvers, block printers, Kantha quiltmakers, and dye specialists.

The design is hand-pressed onto pure cotton using hand-carved wooden blocks dipped in dyes. The printed cotton is brought to the homes of Kantha quiltmakers, who hand-stitch the cotton sheet onto a cotton base to create the final throw.

Our cotton throws are made in small batches. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, expect slight variations in the appearance of each unique piece.

Made by Hand. Marked by It, Too.

Each quilt begins with wooden blocks carved by hand in Jaipur, India, and pressed onto cotton, one color at a time, using traditional dyes and centuries-old techniques.

The slight irregularities you'll notice aren't imperfections — they're proof that a pair of hands made that exact piece. Slow, deliberate craft, passed down through generations.

Every Purchase Feeds a Child

The Akshaya Patra Foundation feeds 2.8 million children in India every day — and every quilt or clothing item you buy contributes to that. For each purchase, CQC LA provides a month of meals to a child in need through our partnership with the Foundation.
